Contribution to the knowledge of the importance of fertilizing maize with nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium for its yield, chemical composition and extraction of nutrients
1987
Curic, R. (Poljoprivredni fakultet, Novi Sad (Yugoslavia). Institut za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo)
In the 1981-1985 period, investigations were carried out with crop rotation of wheat, sunflower and sugar beet in a stationary experiment established in 1965/66. The distribution of elementary plots was accidental and there were 4 repetitions. The yield of aboveground parts (organs), accumulation of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in them, extraction of these elements by the yields, grain moisture and part of the corncob in the ear at harvesting were investigated. The results indicated that there was a significant dependence of the investigated plant properties on the level of fertilization and on the conditions in some years. Nitrogen had the most intensive effect, phosphorus had a minimal effect whereas the effect of potassium was hardly noticeable.
