Effects of the microphage Menacanthus stramineus on poultry laying capacity under intensite production conditions

In the present study we have followed up the fall of laying capacity on a farm with 5,760 laying hens of the Isabrown provenience which were invaded by the microphage Menacanthus stramineus. The paper will concentrate on this ectoparasitosis from the moment of its outbreak until fully under control, and on the fall of laying capacity of hens throughout the period of infection.
