The influence of mono-dichlor 8-hydroxyquinoline in the food for hens on the egg production and hatchability
1989
Zorko, N. (Visja agronomska sola, Maribor (Yugoslavia))
The influence of DKOK on the egg production and hatchability was studied. Two concentrations of DKOK were used: 50 mg and 100 mg/kg of food. Neither of the used concentrations influenced the egg production and hatchability, but both have caused a significant decrease of the number of unfertilized eggs. At the concentration of 100 mg an increase of embrional deaths before hatching and number of embrional development anomalies were observed. A lower dose, this is up to 50 mg DKOK/kg of food is recommended.
