On the basis of the results obtained it has been concluded that high doses of preparation taken from the pregnant mare surum and applied to unestrous Cigaya ewe-lambs caused hyperovulation followed by numerous large unovulated follicles and follicular cysts. In order to increase the ovulation but to reduce the occurrence of abnormal ovarian structures, the treatment with high doses of preparation taken from the pregnant mare serum should be combined with the adequate doses of hormonal substances stimulating ovulation.
