Investigation of pesticide influence on food-stuff quality

The following has been established on the basis of a study on the effect that pesticides, used for controlling plant diseases, pests and weeds in peas, green beans, carrots, potatoes and silaged maize, have on the quality of the edible parts of these plants: 1. The applied pesticides did not have a significant effect on the content of water, total nitrogen and crude proteins in the edible parts of the tested plants; 2. As far as the bromatological properties of the edible parts of the tested plants are concerned, satisfactory results were achieved; 3. But, in variants with herbicides in maize crops on chernozem soil, the content of nitrogen, crude protein and amino acid in the grain increased somewhat.
