Papic, V. (Institut za vocarstvo, Cacak (Yugoslavia))
The paper describes pomological properties and chemical composition of fruits of some sour cherry cultivars in the region of Beska (Yugoslavia). The largest and the smallest fruits were produced by the cultivars Futoska and Gorsemkriek, respectively. According to the content of main chemical components - soluble matter, sugars acids, vitamin C, as well as according to a favourable ratio of sugars and acids, the cultivars Rexelle and Futoska produced fruits of the best quality. The latter proved to have most flesh and least refuse.
