Adam, M. (Agricultural Faculty, Osijek (Yugoslavia)) | Miljkovic, N. | Plamenac, N.
This paper deals with salt-affected soils, mainly with special emphasis on the solonetz and solodi soils in the southern part of the Pannonian plain, Vojvodina and Slavonia regions (Yugoslavia), respectively. These two main representatives of salt-affected soils, in the given area, are often associated with the typical solonchak soils, as well as with non-salt-affected soils, of both automorphic, semihydromorphic and hydromorphic origin. The following are investigated in the paper: natural conditions for the formation of salt-affected soils, genesis and evolution of solonetz and solodi soils, morphological, physical and chemical properties of solonetz and solodi soils, description of salt-affected soils in Macedonia and Adriatic coast and classification of solonetz and solodi soils.
