The basic characteristics of wide grown sweet pepper cultivars in Yugoslavia produced by direct sowing

A three-year study of the effect of direct sowing of sweet peppers, using seven different varieties (Long White, White Calvil, Golden Medal, Prima, Soroksari, Californian Wonder and HS-2), showed that high yields and high quality are achieved at harvest at both technological and physiological maturity. The basic characteristics of the fruit, as well as the content of dry matter of fruit grown by direct sowing do not undergo significant changes in relation to the fruit grown using seedlings.
