Stamenkovic, V. | Vuckovic, M. (Sumarski fakultet, Beograd (Yugoslavia))
A black pine plantation has been studied on a locality in Serbia (Yugoslavia). The plantation demonstrated good development and productivity until the age of 52. Taking into consideration the fact that the plantation was grown using high population density (about 10,000 seedlings/ha), the number of trees was reduced to a little above the optimum no. up to the age of 52. The produced wood is quite good on both of the studied site classes. The achieved dimensions of the trees are very good on both of the site classes, especially on the first one. The bulk increment was good in the last 5 years, on both site classes, and even very good on the first one. The current volume increment was very good in the last 5 years.
