The investigation of cans produced from [Yugoslav] and imported tinplate for pasteurized plum

The interaction between pasterized plum and cans, produced from tin plate "Zorka" Sabac (Yugoslavia), quality E 5, 6/5, 6, lacquered twice from inside, was investigated. Cans produced using english tin plate were taken as a control. Cans were stored for 24 months at the room temperature. The analysis were carried out according to the following plan for opening: inmediately after production (start), and after 1, 3, 5, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21 and 24 months. On the basis of the results obtained by investigations of pasterized plum (acidity, pH value, and transfer of metal ionstin, iron, zinc, lead, arsenic and cadmium - from the package into the content) and the basis of sensory evaluations of pasteurized plum and changes of package, the general conclusion could be made: there is no difference in quality of cans produced from tin plate "Zorka" Sabac and cans produced from english tin plate.
