1991
Gregorova, H. (Vysoka Skola Polnohospodarska, Nitra (CSFR). Katedra Krmovinarstva)
In conditions of warm and dry climatic region of Nitra (Slovak Republic) the biomass of white mustard, feed radish, winter rape and winter rapeseed grown after wheat cv. Vala (1986-1989) was evaluated. Yields corresponded with the course of weather conditions. Significant dependence of dry matter yield on rainfall in July - September, on sunshine hours as well as positive dependence of mustard and radish yield and negative dependence of rape and rapeseed yield on the mean daily air temperatures were observed. The biomass (with the exception of radish and rapeseed in 1987) was suitable for harvesting (more than 8 tons of green matter per hectare). Significant differences among the yields of mustard, rape and rapeseed were not observed. The least yield in the average of years was reached in radish. Dry matter content in the harvested material achieved 96.2 - 134.4 mg per gram of green matter. The highest mean values of relative growth rate and crop growth rate was reached in white mustard.
