Proposals and verification of different methods of storing a part of small debris intercepted in a harvester-thresher are presented in this paper. Methods of debris storage, with no additives and with additives, have been evaluated. These methods were used for the stored material of different moisture content. If the debris moisture content was lower than 30 per cent, urea was used for preservation, at a moisture content lower than 16 per cent the material was stored in stacks or under shelters; at a high moisture content the debris was ensiled either alone with different additives or it was ensiled together with green matter (bean), at various ratios of ensiled materials. An evaluation of the above methods indicated positive results of storage in stacks or under shelters, with urea treatment; if urea was used, the positive results of storing process were observed only in the material with a moisture content lower than 30 per cent. The ensiling of sole debris gave negative results. None of the addditives could contribute to the required quality. In joint ensiling with green matter positive results were recorded in a trial where the ratio of small debris to bean made 1:10.
