250-250 sperm doses of four breeding bulls were imported from the GFR. The fertilization started in domestic pure bred and in herds with high Holstein-Friesian blood ratio. The use of large GFR Holstein-Friesian breeding bulls did not increase the ratio of heavy calvings, though the weight of the new-born calves was in average of 4 kg higher than in the control group. The joint ratio of heavy and dead calvings was 13 o/o and 12 o/o in the case of the experimental and control bulls, resp. The native weights of the calves in the two progeny groups were 46.64 and 45.50 kg, resp. There were no significant differences in the fattening and slaughtering performances. The experimental groups surpassed the performance of the control group's individuals only in the carcass dressing percentages and tallow ratio.
