Attempt of the control of tufted hairgrass on a mountain pasture

The three-year exact experiment concerning the tufted hairgrass (Deschampsia caespitoza) control on a folded pasture at Mostowice (Sudety mountains) was carried out. Hairgrass tufts were treated once with the following herbicides: Fusilade, Roundup, Kusagard, Sys 67 Omnidel. The other control way consisted in the fourfold low cutting of hairgrass plants. Among that above herbicides applied most efficient proved to be Roundup. Interesting results were obtained at application of fourfold low cutting of plants. It decreased both the number of hairgrass tufts and the area occupied by them on a plot as well as its share in the yield
