Kolota, E. (Akademia Rolnicza, Wroclaw (Poland). Zaklad Ogrodnictwa) | Dobromilska, R.
In field experiment there was studied the influence of nitrogen fertilization at the rates of 150, 250 and 350 kg N/ha applied either in the whole or half amount before planting and incorporated to the soil by ploughing, cultivating and harrowing or as top dressing only on yield, mineral nutrition of plants and macroelements contents in the sprouts. Top dressing fertilization with N caused the reduction of N-NO3 contents in index parts. The chemical analysis of sprouts from this treatment showed the decrease of total N and increase of nitrates accumulation. The increment of N dose from 150 to 350 kg N/ha enhanced N uptake by plants, total N and nitrates contents in sprouts. The amount of P, K and Ca in brussels sprouts was not affected by the method of fertilization and rate of N applied
