Daranee Boonnam
With regard to the use of credit, 86.44 % of the total credit were used for production while the rest of it were for consumption. The efficiency analysis of resource allocation indicates that planted area, fertilizer, herbicide, and seeds have a positive effect on efficiency to corn production. It is also found that herbicide has the greater impact on productivity followed by fertilizer and seeds. The marginal analysis, it is found that resource use of farm with and without credit has not reached the optimum point. The results of the analysis of credit demand at the farm level indicate that interest rate, production expenses, current asset, consumption expense, and initial debt affect the demand for credit. It is found that factors which affect the demand for intitutional credit are working capital, consumption expenses and initial debt. As for the demand for non-institutional credit, the determining factors are grossfrom income and initial debt.
