Application of NPK gave higher grain yield than NP about 42.8,46.9,305.0 and 30.8 % in Phan, Phen, alluvial complex in Changwat Nakhonsawan and Roi Et soil respectively. The fertilizer grades that gave the highest grain yield of rice were 16-10-10 and 18-12-6 in Phan soil, 18-12-6 and 16-12-8 in Phen soil, 16-12-8 and 16-10-10 in alluvial complex in Changwat Nakhonsawan and 16-14-6 in Roi Et soil. Study the nitrogen mineralization in the four soils, apparently, the ammonium content increased rapidly during the first six weeks and there after gradually increased until 14 weeks after incubation. Consequently, the soils may be placed in a decreasing order as to their mineralization rates as Phen soil, Phan soil, alluvial complex in Changwat Nakhonsawan and Roi Et soil, respectively.
