Fertilizer application increased yield of fruit especially when applied at 0.75 kg per tree for every four months. However fertilizer application did not affect fruit components such as fruit weight and dimension. Fertilizer application did not affect fruit composition, namely fruit peels, fruit pulp including seeds and fruit juice. Sugar content of juice was not affected by fertilizer application while citric acid content tend to decrease with the increase in the rate of fertilizer application. Nitrogen, phosphorus and magnesium content and accumulation in the fruit increased with fertilization. Potassium and calcium accumulations in the fruit tend to decrease with the application of fertilizer. Content of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium and magnesium in the citrus leaves varied due to fertilization and the dynamic pattern of leaf nutrient content versus time of sampling throughout the growth duration differ among the different nutrient elements. The percent nitrogen contents in leaves increased following the time of fertilizer application. Meanwhile phosphorus levels in the leaves were evidently affected by the times of the new flush of leaves and flowering. Potassium in citrus leaves increased with the application of fertilizer, especially potassium in the leaves of non-fruit bearing twigs. Potassium in the leaves from the fruit-bearing twigs decreased significantly during the early part of fruit development.
