Calcium content was examined in feed rations of cows under intensive breeding conditions. Examinations were performed during four consecutive seasons of the year. Cows in high pregnancy (not lactating), those that had just delivered, and cows in the second and fifth months of lactation were examined. It was determined that the alimentary intake of calcium in the examined categories and reasons exceeded nutritive requirements both in absolute quantities (by 52.7-105.5%), and in relative content in the ration (0.72-1.81% variation).
