Evaluation of a maize production extension programme in Musana Masembura communal area

This paper discusses the survey methodology used in the evaluation of a maize production programme among extension workers and farmer extension groups in Musana Masembura areas during the 1986/87 season. The study shows that farmers had a variety of sources of information of them and also that they were interested in being trained particularly in the "Master Farmer Scheme". The extension workers showed a great need for training in both technical and extension management as well as in their general knowledge of their environment
