The effect of sire individuality on sex ratio (PP) in pig progeny was evaluated using chi2 test: Landrace breed (L) - 15 sires and 5113 descendants, White Meat breed (BM) - 20 sires and 5109 descendants; Duroc breed (D) - 15 boars and 3648 descendants. The effect of boar's individuality was statistically significant only in D breed. Age group of boars over 2 years had a significantly higher number of boars in progeny (52.41 %) compared to those up to 2 years of age (50.84 %). Sows over 2.5 years had also a higher number of boars in progeny (52.69 %) compared to those up to 2.5 years. Based on chi2 test value the significant effect of breed upon the sex ratio may be stated. The highest number of boars was recorded in BU (White Improved) breed (53.64 %), the lowest - in L breed (48.58 %). The number of boars was 52.83 % in BM breed and 50.15 % in D.
