Turkish hazel is in recent park creation practice considered as a supplementary type of park tree. Results of the research presented in the paper have shown that the tree has a medium large leaf phytomass; at 40 cm trunk thickness, the green leaves phytomass weight was 56.0 kg, that of dry leaves 2.4 kg, the leaf area was 427.5 m2, and the crown volume 259.6 m3. The leaf area overlap index value was 8.7 m2.m-2, and of the crown volume, 5.4 m3.m-2. The leaf area per m3 of crown volume was 1.6 m2.m-3. The tree was 10.6 m high with 8.0 m wide crown. At the age of 40 years both the growth and the formation of all leaf phytomass components were highest. Green leaf weight was 55.6 kg, dry leaf weight was 2.4 kg, leaf area 424.1 m2, crown volume 253.3 m3, leaf area overlap index value was 8.6 m2.m-2 and the crown volume overlap index 5.2 m3.m-2, both showing highest values.
