In the present work an attempt was done to evaluate the insoluble to water conditioners that are available in our country. The evaluation was based on the determination and comparison the moisture characteristic curves and the hydraulic conductivity of the unmixed conditioners as well as of their mixtures with the sand. The research showed strong differences among the conditioners. Referring to the water holding capacity and the reduction of evaporation for the perceptible sandy soil, the best results gave in a decay order, the Terra-sorb, the Rivalex and the Agrosoke and Agrohyd at the same degree. Other factors be taking into account for evaluating and after that choosing the correct conditioner for use are the existance of sticky substance in these (Terra-sorb and Agrosoke) the cost and the dose of application.
