This study was carried out to determine the bioconcentration of the technical products of oxadiazon (5-tert-butyl-3-(2,4-dichloro-5-isopropoxyphenyl)-1,3,4-oxad iazolin-2-one) and butachlor (2-chloro-2',6' diethyl-N(butoxymethyl) acetanilide) in carps. Carps were exposed to solutions of these herbicides of 1 or 30 ppb concentrations for 14 days. Bioconcentration factors (BCF) were considerably low during the treatment, the maximum values for oxadiazon being 854, butachlor 269. It was also found that either herbicide was eliminated from the body of the carps rapidly. When they were returned to non-treated water after herbicide treatment for 14 days
