Iron, zinc and copper distribution in rat tissues was studied in dependence on the dietary level of these elements and source of protein. All experimental diets had the same Fe:Zn:Cu ratio and the amounts of these elements in the diets increased so did the Fe:Zn and Fe:Cu ratios in the liver, spleen and femur. The ratio of iron to other elements in those tissues was higher in animals fed the gluten diets than in animals on casein or casein-gluten diets
