Effect of rooting hormone and time of cutting on rooting ability of grape cutting
1984
Surasak Nilnond
Study on using rooting hormone (Seradix No.3) on semi-hard wood stem cutting of root stock (Solonis x Othello 1613) and Loose Perlette grapes was conducted at Doi Inthanon, Chieng Mai Province. The stems were cut in August, September and October months and rooted in the propagating bed immediately after each cutting time. The number of roots were analysed in each cutting after they were rooted for three months. Seradix No. 3 did not show an increase in rooting ability of both grape varieties. However, the stem cutting in August produced more roots than those cuttings in September and October of both varieties.
