Non-surgical embryo transfers were carried out in swamp buffalo cows using 3 donors and 4 recipients. Two techniques of embryo collection were used, single egg and superovulation collection. Single egg collection was performed in one donor on 7.5 day after matings and the embryo found was a hatched blastocyst transferred to a recipient. After pregnancy diagnosis performed 2 months later it was found non pregnant. Another two designated for superovulation were able to recover four embryos on day 7 and 6.4 they were hatched blastocyst and one degenerated embryo and two morulae respectively. The hatched blastocyst and the two morulae are transferred to three recipients and the two recipients received the morulae were found pregnant. The present finding was the first ever report in the swamp buffalo and further development of the technique would help facililate genetic improvement and distribution of this species.
