Report on the "Econometric modelling and policy analysis of the Bean Industry in Uganda". The objectives of this project were to estimate the demand, supply and farm-retail price relationships for beans produced in Uganda. Emphasis was on data availability and its applicability for policy modelling and analysis. The report gives an overall outlook on the policy environment and a review of the type, quality and problems of finding data on food and agriculture in Uganda and recommends implementation of a statistical data project and a manpower development and improvement project as well as a strengthened market and price information system.
