The influence of the social rank on the body conformation of heifers crosses F1 generation of Limousin and Charolais with Simmental breed

Fifteen heifers, 11 months old, of two crossings between domestic Spotted Breed with bulls of Limousin and Charolais were kept in loose housing. The investigations were carried out on the experimental farm of the Research Institute for Animal Husbandry, Belgrad (Yugoslavia): 5 heifers of dSB x Lim and 10 heifers of dSB x Char. The aim of this research was to study the influence of behavioural characteristics and social rank on the body conformation.
