Homeopathy has been known since Hippocratic School and it was reviewed and improved by the German doctor Samuel Kahnemann. Three basic principles of classical homeopathy are discribed in the paper as well as their application and mechanism in veterinary medicine. Empirical and scientific values, for human, have been collected for over 180 years, but in veterinary medicine this collection has commenced relatively recently. However, similarities of humans and domestic animals can be found in most cases. At present, 80.100 homeopathic remedies are available and a selection of the most usually applied remedies is described in this paper.
