Genetic variability, correlation and path analysis were studied in 18 genotypes of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) to determine the available variability and association among yield and its components. Considerable variability with moderate to high heritability and sensible genetic advance were found for yield, 1000-grain weight, number of spikes/m(2), plant height and days to heading. Yield was positively and significantly correlated with plant height and number of spikes/m(2). Plant height, number of spikes/.m(2) and 1000-grain weight registered maximum positive and direct effect on yield.
