[Analysis of some parameter of growth, development and yield of the tomato hybrid H31 regarding temperature and solar radiation]
1992
Danty L, Jeannette Andrea
Some parameters of growth, development and yield of the tomato hybrid (Lycopersicon esculentum L.) for concentrates, in relation to the temperature and solar radiation, were studied. The field experiment was done with three treatments and four repetitions, and the statistical model was in a randomized form. Treatments consisted in three different sowing times in order to study the hybrid's behavior in different weather conditions. Randomized samplings of each flot were performed every 10 days to measured plant growth and that of its different organs. The development was evaluated considering following phenological stages: Transplanting (T) to beginning of the set (IC), IC at the beginning of full production (IPF), IPF at first harvest and first harvest to final harvest. With the compiled information, the relationships between growth and development, with the temperature and the available solar radiation were analyzed. The distribution of products from photosynthesis through its distribution quotient was considered, the final yield and the agroindustrial characteristics were analyzed. Whit the attained results, it can be concluded that for the three tested harvest dates, the H31 hybrid showed a similar behavior in growth and yield according to the parameters of mean temperature and photosynthetically active available radiation during the analyzed period. Regarding the development in the latest harvest, the productive cycle was completed in less number of days, and the same was observed in the duration of each phenological stage. The yields and agroindustrial quality reached by the H31 were over the values given by the hybrid's producer company, for the three tested harvest periods
