1994
Spitzova, I. | Placr, M. (Galena, Opava (Czech Republic))
The effect of selected desiccants on drug quality and biological value of seeds of milk thistle was tested in field conditions. The time of application, not the type of preparation has a decisive influence on drug quality. Desiccants with slowlier actions are less risky. The preparations Harvade 25 F and Roundup at a rate of 3 l/ha can be applied a week before harvest. The preparations Reglone (3 l/ha), DAM 390 (200 l/ha) and the mixture Reglone + DAM 390 (3+100 l/ha) are to be applied two days before the harvest. The preparations have no negative effect on germinability, thousand kernel weight and active matter content. The drug from treated plants can be used only for industrial purposes.
