Selected blood characters in chub (Leuciscus cephalus) and brown trout (Salmo trutta) with regard to the problems of reference values

The variation in basic blood characters (haematocrit, haemoglobin content, mean cell haemoglobin content and total plasmatic protein content) was examined in free-living populations of Leuciscus cephalus and Salmo trutta m. fario in a natural stream. Dynamics in a part of the year were obtained in L. cephalus and reference values previously established for brown trout were refined.
