The modelling of soil water balance and RAINMOD program

The aim of this study was to develop a model of water balance and crop yield. The resulting computer program (RAINMOD) requires climatological, soil, crop and drainage/irrigation system parameters in order to predict the water table position, soil water content, drainage, evapotranspiration and crop yield for the given crop on a daily basis. Irrigation/drainage system modelling can be used as a tool to determine the proper design and management practices for such systems
