1990
Hasyim, A.
An experiment was conducted at Sukarami Experimental Farm, Sukarami Research Institute for Food Crops from February to July 1988, to determine the effect of chemical and microbial insecticides on controlling major pest of soybean. Result indicated that application of Monochrotofos, 10 days after transplanting, controlled the bean flies (Ophiomyia phaseoli Tryon) effectively. The maximum egg was obtained 5 days after transplanting and there was negative correlation between egg population and the plant ages (r=0,92). The microbial insecticides, Truricide R-HP effectively controlled the leaffolder, defoliator and pod borrer at 30 and 50 days after transplanting. The maximum yield of soybean was obtained when chemical insecticide was given four times and then followed by giving of chemical and microbial insecticides two times, respectively.
