Effect of tapioca solid waste application rate and crop population on growth and yield of cassava were evaluated in a research conducted in Bangun Rejo, Lampung in 1988. Population levels evaluated were 10,000; 15,000, and 20,000 plant/ha and application rate of tapioca waste were 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 ton/ha. Experimental design used was Completely Randomized Block Design with 3 replications. Height of plant was influenced by population and rate of waste application. Diameter of trunk, biomass, and number of tubers were affected by population. Rates of tapioca waste applications affected diameter of trunk and tuber fresh weight. The highest tuber yield was found at population of 15,000 plant/ha with application rate of tapioca solid waste of 10 ton/ha.
