Mixtures of chopped napier grass, wilted cassava leaves, 5 g complete mineral and 75 g corn meal as basal diets were offered in separate bunks for growing small ruminants (sheep and goat). The basal diet was fed alone (0) or supplemented with 5 g urea (U) or 50 g fish meal (F) or 65 g corn meal (C). Intake (g/kg BW at the power of 0.75) of DM, NDF and ADF did not differ (P0.05) among treatments as well as between species. In contrary crude protein intake (g/kg BW at the power of 0.075) differed (P0.05) amomg treatments but did not differ between species (P0.05). Supplementation increased (P0.05) digestion of DM, CP, NDF and ADF. Average daily gain (ADG) differed (P0.05) between species but did not affect ADG among treatments
