The effect of stem cutting density on seed production of potato cultivar Cosima
1990
Karjadi, A.K. | Asri, D.
There are two types of propagation of seed potato by planting tuber as usual and stem cutting. An experiment have been conducted at net house LEHRI (1250 m asl), on January to April 1987. The treatments were density of cutting: 36 and 100 per square m, and number of cuttings per hole. Result of the experiment showed the percentage of cutting survived at 70 dap, of 100 cuttings per square m was smaller than that of 36 cuttings per square meter (31,59 percent). But it produced more tuber than 36 cuttings per square meter (1,97 kg/square meter) and also with seed size (20-30 g) higher. Plant survived at 70 dap of two cuttings was smaller than one cutting per hole. There were no interaction effect between number of cutting per hole and density square meter.
