Reaction of cucumber and squash cultivars to four viruses [WMV-2; ZYMV; CMV; SqMV-mechanical inoculation, inoculation period, level of resistance]
1993
Mansour, A. | Al-Musa, A. (Jordan Univ., Amman (Jordan))
All cultivars were found to be susceptible to infection with WMV-2, ZYMV, CMV and SqMV. Cucumber cultivars were less affected and less vulnerable to virus infection than squash cultivars, particularly when tested with WMV-2 or ZYMV. Generally, all cultivars showed mild symptoms when infected with CMV or SqMV. Squash cultivar infected with WMV-2 or ZYMV exhibited severe leaf narrowing, except one squash cultivar, "Jedida", which showed some resistance to WMV-2
