Grafting as a tool in the vegetative propagation of Arabica coffee cultivar Ruiru 11
1993
Wamatu, J.N. | Kingo'ro, M.W.
Investigations on the effects of grafting methods, propagation environment and scion types in the vegetative propagation of Ruiru 11 cultivars were carried out at Coffee Research Station, Ruiru. Over 50% take was recorded for all methods and saddle grafting was the most outstanding method of grafting. Propagation environment did not influence the results of grafting. Scions with a full pair of leaves intact gave the highest percentage take as well as the highest number of shoots per graft
