This study deals with cattle, sheep and yaks. Some population genetic parameters, heritability and repeatability of liveweight carcasses and wool for fine fleeced Khahgai, semi-fine Orkhon and Yero sheep were studied. It was found that the phenotypic correlation coefficient between liveweight and fleece weight ewes was 0.38 - 0.4 and the regression coefficient varied from 60kg to 80 kg. Ewes with liveweights of 40 - 45 kg had less fleece weight than livewights of 30 - 38kg. For yaks it was established that the F1 hybrids (Khainags) obtained from crossing yaks with Mongolian cattle excelled in daily liveweight gain, milk yield carcass weight and protein in the blood. The F2 hybrids obtained from crossing Khainags (F2) with Herefords, Limousin, Simmentals and Alatau cattle excelled with F1 crosses in birthweight and at 12, 18, 24 and 29 months. Limousin and Hereford F2 hybrids weighed more than the F1 at 29 months. Results of blood tests showed that blood proteins and enzymes of Mongolian cattle are similar to European breeds. However, yaks differ from Mongolian cattle in the frequency of alleles which are controlled by Tf, AA, Tf, EE, Cp, BB, and Hb BB
