Growth and decomposition of three green manure species under varying conditions and their effects on growth and yield response of corn
1993
Nebrida, P.P.
Pot and field experiments were conducted at the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, Research and Demo Farm [Bacnotan, La Union, Philippines] from March to June 1992 and November 1992 to March 1993, respectively. The pot experiment was conducted to determine the biomass productivity, chemical constituents and decomposition rates and N mineralizing pattern of three fast growing green manure (GM) species (Mucuna, cowpea and Crotalaria) as affected by age and water regime after incorporation. The field experiment was conducted to determine the growth and yield response of two corn varieties (farmer's variety cv Nalabaga and and IPB Var 1) to fertilization treatments and irrigation frequency after incorporation. Both experiments were laid out in split-split plot in randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications
