Relationship between yolk cholesterol level and egg quality as well as reproductive performance in laying and broiler hens

An experiment on 38 layer hens (RIR) and 38 broiler breeder hens (BB) was carried out. The significant higher egg weight and egg yolk cholesterol content in BB hens than in RIR ones was stated. No correlation between the yolk cholesterol level and egg quality was observed
