Titanium in arable soils of north-eastern Poland
1990
Gaworek, B. (Szkola Glowna Gospodarstwa Wiejskiego, Warszawa (Poland))
The titanium content in 32 profiles of arable soils was determined. The content of this element in the tested soils ranged between 0.080 and 0.387 percent. The lowest amounts of Ti were found in soils developed from silty formations. The Ti distribution in soil profiles depended mainly on the geological processes and to a lesser extent - on soil-forming processes. A positive correlation was found between titanium contents and the amounts of clay and silt particles in soils
