A considerable variability in the total protein, lysine, histidine and in the sum of sulphuric amino acids in 33 rape samples from the working collection of the Institute has been proved. The insignificant negative correlation between the protein content in rapeseed and the concentration of exogenic amino acids suggests the possibility for increased protein content with approximate biological value
