System-theoretical model of structural changes in agriculture

On the basis of theoretical analysis of economic and social factors in agricultural production, the system-theoretical model of structural changes in agriculture is developed. Agricultural structure alters in accordance with the imbalances taking place in product and factor markets. The demand for food lags behind the food supply with the economic development and technological progress. This leads towards the fall in agricultural prices. Income disparity encourages the increase in farm size and improvement in total agricultural productivity; both due to immobility of production resources do not affect enough the market balance. Our model will aim at setting agricultural policy orientation in Slovenia
