The seeds of composite corn variety, containing moisture contents of 14.5, 18, 20, 20.9, 22, 23.6 and 26 % were treated with chemical Luprosil NC at the rates of 10, 10, 12, 12, 14, 14 and 14 litre per 1 ton of seed, respectively. After the treatment, the seeds were put in the storage house. The amount and species of fungi in the storage house were examined and the extent of aflatoxin infection was determined by the minicolumn chromatography. Luprosil can suppress the growth of fungi and the production of the toxin. For seeds with moisture contents of 18 and 20; 23.6; 20.9; 14.5; 22 and 26 %, the effectiveness of Luprosil lasted 7, 10, 17, 22 and 25 weeks, respectively. In an experiment with corn seeds having moisture content of 24.22 % and treated with Luprosil NC at the rate of 1, 4, 7 and 10 1/ton, it was found that the rate of 10 1/ton can control the infection of the toxin for as long as 4 weeks.
