After 6 months in storage of cashew nut seed, it still showed a good and impressive viability of germination. The root growth of seedling in container reached the bottom of polybag sized 4x6, 5x7 and 6x8 inches by 60 % of the total number within 17, 23 and 37 days respectively. The use of plant growth substance IBA in lanolin at the concentration of 500 ppm. for initiation of rooting of propagating material by air-layering and 100 ppm. by stooling gave the significant results in term of the highest percentage of success and root quality. Recommendation on the spacing of parent stock aiming at the production of shoot in stooling, 2x2 meters is advisable to produce the highest number of shoot and volume of biomass.
