Present and potential insect pests of bananas and plantains (Musa spp.) in Trinidad and Tobago
1991
Brewster, C.C. | Ram, P.
Outlines some of the insect pests attacking Musa spp. in Trinidad and Tobago. Also lists insects which attack other crops locally, but which attacks Musa spp. in other islands. Discusses insects attack Musa spp. in other parts of the Caribbean. The order Coleoptera seems to contain the most important pests. This group includes the infamous banana stem borer, Cosmopolites sordidus. These pests would be of quarantine significance once efforts to increase production have accelerated.
